BROCCOLI is now the answer to any question you care to throw at it, according to new research.
What's it thinking? The selenium-packed super food has long been recognised as a cure for Welshness, the vapours, homosexuality and the Screaming Heebee-Jeebees.
However, latest studies show it also contains the solution to the Super Sudoku in this weekend's Daily Telegraph and was the driving force behind the $700 billion rescue of the US banking system.
Henry Brubaker, of the Institute for Studies, said: "Broccoli is a plant of the brassica family possessing an abundance of green flowery heads and an IQ of over 170.
"It grasps the most complex issues and is decisive and authoritative while possessing the people skills to unite the many competing factions behind it.
"Cauliflower kneels before broccoli, while peas regard it as some kind of god." He added: "The latest Bond film Quantum of Solace was produced by broccoli. And I don't mean Cubby Broccoli, I mean a piece of broccoli." Questions answered by broccoli in the last 24 hours: Are you in yet? Whose idea was Gordon Brown? Are those really real? If a cat always lands on its feet, and buttered toast always lands butter side down, what happens if you sellotape a piece of buttered toast to the top of a cat?
