Women doing their best
FEMALE workers are not just there to brighten the place up, they are also increasingly useful, according to new research.

A record number of women are choosing to have a little job before pregnancy
The full-time gender pay gap has fallen to 15.5% in the past year, reflecting the ongoing commitment of women to having a really good go at whatever job it is they are playing at doing.
Office manager Emma Bradford said: “Although I’m really only biding my time until someone decides to marry me, I have been making an effort at work recently and that’s been reflected in an increase in my allowance.
“I’ll probably spend the extra money on perfume, or nice cushions.”
She added: “Call me a feminist but I think I’m worth almost as much as a man.”
Recent figures by the Institute for Studies show that 83% of bosses agree their female employees need much less help than they used to.
Company director, Tom Logan, said: “There’s much more to women than their pleasing scent.
“They have some really good qualities as workers and, excluding ‘angry week’, are more agreeable than men, despite struggling to comprehend most types of joke.
“Certainly I’ve noticed that my women staff, as well as looking ravishing, are reluctant to ask for help even when faced with some task that is clearly beyond their physical or mental capability.
“It’s the type of behaviour than shows real pluck, even if it is predictably illogical.
“Good on them.”
