Liam Fox bars Werrity from his Nando's birthday party
DEFENCE secretary Liam Fox has distanced himself from controversial associate Adam Werrity by dis-inviting him to his upcoming birthday party at Nando’s in Chiswick, it has emerged.

Fox denied running a shadow Piri-Piri dinner
The tough move indicates Fox’s determination to clarify his relationship with someone an unbiased outside observer might reasonably assume is just some free-loading piss artist.
Fox said: “If we really were the inseparable double act everyone claims, would I freeze him out of two hours of birthday fun at the UK’s favourite chicken restaurant? Especially given that Nando’s delicious ‘macho peas’ are Adam’s favourite thing in the world after the animated film Beowulf and red squirrels?
“I think not.”
He added: “Though he can come to the cinema afterwards to see Johnny English Reborn if he wants to. That’s his prerogative.
“However he can’t sit next to me, obviously. That would not be appropriate.”
Responding to calls from senior Tories to distance himself from Mr Werrity, Fox pointed out that although he has not defriended Werrity on Facebook, he has not commented on any of his updates for ages, and rarely clicks ‘Like’ anymore when he does.
Independent investigators have checked Fox’s Myspace page, but like every Myspace page, it hasn’t been updated for four years.
The trip to Nando’s will be partly funded by a Sri Lankan private investment firm.
