We ask you: do you agree with the super-rich that Everest has become 'common'?

BILLIONAIRES are shunning climbing Everest as a dreadfully common pastime of the hoi-palloi. Do you agree?

Julian Cook, climber and balloonist: “Absolutely. Last time I went up there I picked up what I thought was ice and it was a frozen Greggs bag.”

Helen Archer, head of HR: “Darling, why else would we be holding our annual Q4 party on K2? The wreck of the Titanic? Too nouveau riche.”

Saijan Shanker, Chiya cafe owner: “It’s pretty common, yeah, I see it most days in the clear season. Then again I do live in West Kathmandu.”

Nathan Muir, optician: “Ridiculous overmoneyed pricks, calling Everest common. Though if Kerry Katona does this year’s Iceland advert from the Khumbu Icefall I may think again.”

Nikki Hollis, drive-thru operative: “Everest, that’s it. That’s where Jason wants to have his stag do if he’s off remand.”
